London Midland trains will now run after strike action is called off

London Midland has said it will run its planned services next week after rail unions called off strike action.

Passengers on the London Midland line had been warned that there would be very few trains running on Monday May 25 and Tuesday May 26 in the event of strike action by Network Rail employees.

However this afternoon rail union bosses called off the national strike after reportedly recived a revised offer in their pay displute with Netwrok Rail.

A spokesman for London Midland said: “Industrial action by RMT and TSSA employees of Network Rail planned for May 25 & 26 has been suspended.

“London Midland will therefore be running its planned services on all routes on both days.”

London Midland also warned that Scheduled Improvement works are still taking place over the bank holiday weekend.
