Leamington Rambling Club to celebrate its 50th anniversary

The group will hold a three-and-a-half mile walk from the village hall at 1.30pm followed by tea at 3.30pm.

Former members are invited to both events.

The club, which now has 55 members, held its first walk in June 1965.

Memebrs caught buses to Stratford and then Newbold-on-Stour from where they walked to Ilmington and Chipping Campden.

These days most members prefer to take part in the Wednesday afternoon walks after which there is a pub lunch.
