Kind teenagers rescue 93-year-old in Leamington road
Margaret Francis does not know the identity of the five young people who stopped traffic and carried her to safety after she slipped and fell in Landsdowne Road on March 28.
But the Comyn Street resident, who is a cancer survivor, is very grateful to them for their help. She said: “The teenagers do not get the thanks they deserve.

“Those laddies and that girl were brilliant.”
Despite her age, Mrs Francis looks after herself and goes out at least once a day. On March 28, she had been on her way to a social club.
She said: “I managed to pull myself together - it’s no good moaning and groaning - but I thought I might have broken my leg. I went to the club and spent a few hours sitting there.
“I was very lucky I did not have a very bad accident.
“We hear of all the bad things teenagers get the blame for. Let’s give praise for the good. Thank you to the young people who helped me for their kindness.”
