And it looks like their might be a case of inter-club rivalry with three Kenilworth Runners members having been nominated in their respective categories.

Chris McCarthy and Andrew Siggers have both enjoyed stellar years at a range of distances, while on the female side, Pennie Sandell broke the British age group record at the Leamington C&AC-hosted one-hour track race.

However, it is not just athletes who are being deemed worthy of nomination, with Leamington’s all-conquering run to the Southern League Premier Division title also catching the imagination of the voting public.

There is still plenty of time for you to put forward your sporting heroes, whether they be internationally recognised or unsung.

Nominations of no more than 150 words outlining the achievements of the individual or team are invited in the nine categories listed below.

Nominations should be marked “Sports Awards” and include the category for which the person is being put forward, along with your name, address and phone number.
