International Charity Cosplayers are heroes for children at Warwick Hospital

Members of the International Charity Cosplay group visited the hospital on Saturday to meet the youngsters and raise awareness of the work the ward does.

They also gave gifts donated by wrestlers from and fans of Phoenix Wrestling.

Christine McQuire, sister on the MacGregor Ward said: “We wwere delighted that the Cosplayers visited the MacGregor Ward.

Being in hospital is always difficult for children, especially at Christmas time, so it was great that they were able to enjoy this entertainment.

“Seeing all the different characters brought lots of smiles to the faces of all our patients and their families, so “I would like to thank the cosplayers for generously giving up their time.”

The group was founded by John Nursall, 41, who is a former wrestler .

He was dressed as Marvel Comics hero Dum Dum Dugan for the event.

Other members were dressed as Spiderman, Captain America, Queen Elsa from Frozen, a Minion, Black Widow and Iron Patriot.

Mr Nursall said: “We all do it for fun and when you see the kid’s faces light up when they see their favourite hero then nothing compares to it.”
