The 27-year-old, who works at Geiko hair salon in Park Street, entered the London category of the competition, positioning him alongside some of the most expensive hair stylists in the country.

Entrants had to create a piece of ‘avant garde’ - out of the ordinary - hairstyle, find their own model and take their own photography.

Judges then chose the 24 styles that they considered to be the best as winners.

Tyronne said: “The competition was really stiff so I’m very pleased to have been selected as a winner.”

All winners are given the opportunity to re-create their hairstyle for a professional shoot in a Shu Uemura salon in London in September.
