Gifts and panto magic for children at Warwick Hospital

CHILDREN at Warwick Hospital who were too unwell to spend Christmas at home were given a festive treat as lively characters brightened up their day.

Cast members from the Spa Centre pantomime, Snow White, brought the theatre to the children’s ward last Friday as they took some time out of their packed schedule of rehearsals and performances to pay the youngsters a visit.

Greeting the children were Snow White (Hannah Farquharson), Prince Michael (Callum Roberts), Dame Bree (Robert Rawles) and Will the Jester (JP McCue), who them presented gifts donated by Sainsbury’s Leamington branch, which also organised the visit.

Nicola Wackett, of Sainsbury’s, said: “The cast all agreed it was an absolute pleasure to visit the children’s ward.

“The nurses were overwhelmed with the generosity shown by Sainsbury’s customers and colleagues. The remaining toys will be given out to children unfortunate enough to be admitted to hospital over Christmas.”
