Gardens open for Easter of flowers and crafts
Garden supervisor Gary Leaver and his group of volunteers have been busy creating new borders and planting, an important part of which is the continued introduction of heritage varieties.
He said: “We are always trying to capture the planting and personality of the original owners and our 16 plots are as varied and individual as would have been the case more than a hundred years ago.

Hide Ad“Generally there is a mixture of flowers, fruit and vegetables with many old varieties seldom seen nowadays.”
There will be an array of Victorian daffodils, primroses and cowslips on display with Easter craft activities also available for children.
