Game of Thrones star remembers her Warwick roots

Former King’s High School girl Sophie Turner - who plays Sansa in the blockbusting HBO television series Game of Thrones - has agreed to become the Patron of Warwick-based Playbox Theatre, which she first joined for drama lessons at the age of three.

Locals audiences might remember her in Scary Play (2009) where her circus skills came to the fore.

Sophie will shortly be seen in the film Alone, opposite Ray Liotta and Mark Kassen.

Playbox director Stewart McGill said: “All of us are, naturally, delighted that Sophie is willing to continue her links with Playbox in this new role of Patron.”
