Future of Helen Ley still unclear

THE future of the Helen Ley centre near Leamington remains unclear as residents and guests continue to wait for news.

The site in Blackdown, which provides residential respite care and permanent accommodation for people with multiple sclerosis, was due to be handed over by its current owner, the MS Society, to the Castel Froma care centre in Leamington at the end of January.

But with January having come and gone, both those who use Helen Ley and staff at Castel Froma are continuing to wait for news of the transfer.

A spokewoman for the MS Society said: “Work remains ongoing to transfer Helen Ley into the ownership of Castel Froma.

“Confirmed bookings are now being taken until February 25. All bookings made for after then will remain provisional for the time being.”
