Five hurt in Tysoe crash

FIVE people including an eight-year-old boy were injured in a car crash near Tysoe yesterday evening (Wednesday November 8).

Three cars collided in the accident on the A422 Sun Rising Hill shortly before 9.10pm.

A family of four were travelling in one car. An eight-year-old boy who received neck, back and shoulder injuries and a man in his 40s who suffered a chest injury were taken to Warwick Hospital for further assessment and treatment. A woman in her 40s and a teenage girl were assessed by ambulance crews but did not need further treatment.

A woman in her 30s was trapped in the other car and had to be cut free by firefighters and placed on a spinal board.

She was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford suffering from head, hip and chest injuries.
