Fifteen people in court after drugs raid by police

Fifteen people have appeared in court this week charged with being involved in a conspiracy to import and supply Class A and Class B drugs into the UK.

It follows a major investigation by Warwickshire Police that saw 13 arrest warrants take place across the Midlands and southeast England on Tuesday.

Seventeen people were arrested in total and, while two were released on police bail, the other 15 were all charged overnight with drug-related offences.

They appeared at a special hearing at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today and were either remanded into custody or released on bail to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on June 26.

The defendants from our area were:

* Bryn Clinton, aged 44, of Bishops Tachbrook, was charged with conspiracy to import a Class B drug (cannabis) and conspiracy to supply a Class B drug (cannabis). Remanded into custody.

* Terence Conlon, aged 38, of Bishops Tachbrook, was charged with conspiracy to import a Class A drug (cocaine), conspiracy to import a Class B drug (cannabis) and conspiracy to supply a Class B drug (cannabis). He was remanded into custody.

* Darren Holmes, aged 47, of Frankton Lane, Stretton-on-Dunsmore, was charged with conspiracy to import a Class B drug (cannabis) and conspiracy to supply a Class B drug (cannabis). Released on court bail.
