Festival warms up a chilly day

TEEN idol Ryan Crowley managed to warm up a Leamington music festival when he performed beneath overcast skies outside the Newbold Comyn Arms on Saturday.

The event, which was as much about raising the profile of several local charities as collecting cash, was officially opened by the Mayor Leamington, Alan Wilkinson,

Pub landlady Sarah Miller admitted: “It wasn’t great weather but we’re British so we got on with it. Music was provided by Ryan and several others during the day and the Harry Rag Band in the evening.

“Sadly we lost a tug-of-war competition to the Fox and Vivien but Dan Frasier won the title of Leamington’s strongest man.”
