Large anti-HS2 banners were draped outside court while a protester faced charges of aggravated trespass against HS2.

Other campaigners showed their support with placards while some lay on the stairs to make their point.

Melanie Moon, of Coventry, has been part of the protest camp in Crackley Wood, Kenilworth, since June.

She appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Friday December 11 where she pleaded not guilty.

The case was adjourned for trial, which is set to take place in March.
