Emergency services called to lift shaft fall in Warwick

Fire and rescue crews from Leamington attended an address in Warwick this afternoon (Tuesday) after a person fell down a lift shaft.

The casualty had fallen ten feet down the shaft at the address in Haywood Road at about 1.30pm.

Fire service personnel assisted ambulance staff to safely remove casualty from the lift shaft.

They were than taken to hospital by the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
