Electric first leads the way for the district

The very first electric taxi is now whizzing about the streets of Leamington after Warwick District Council approved the very first licence of its kind in the district.

Cllr Michael Coker and Richard Hall, head of health and community protection at the council, said they were delighted to hand over the very first electric licence. Annette Topliss and Bryn Jones, directors at Prestige Transfers Ltd, can now use the eco-friendly vehicle as part of their taxi fleet.
