Nick said: "It was parked in the Priory Road car park - there are very few residential spaces available in Smith Street.

"The car was fine at Sunday lunchtime. I walk the dog past it every morning and on Monday a bloke coming past the other way said 'someone has a done a job on that car'. I thought christ that's my car.

"Half of it is gone. They took the four wheels and the whole front section of the car. The whole lot - gone.

"I went from shock to anger to disbelief.

"I have never had any problems like that before so it's a bit of a surprise. Warwick is a nice, peaceful place.

"They clearly spent a lot of time. This isn't a couple of idiots trying car doors this was a serious targeted operation and they knew what they wanted and they got it.

"I could do without this really.

"I am waiting to hear back from my insurance to see if they can fix it."

Nick is now appealing for anyone with information to get in touch with the police and he is also warning other to be aware.

"There is no CCTV in the car park but if anyone has any CCTV around Priory Road they might have caught them.

"People need to be careful now in these times as there isn't a lot of people about and they should be aware this is the sort of stuff that can happen.

"I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this."

A spokesperson from Warwickshire Police said: "Police were made aware of a theft from a vehicle on Priory Walk, Cross Street in Warwick.

"The tyres, bonnet and wing mirrors of a blue VW Golf are reported to have been removed from the vehicle sometime between noon on Sunday (3 May) and 8am yesterday (Monday).
