Two people have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences in Rugby.

A 51-year-old woman and 57-year-old man, both from Rugby, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Warwickshire Police said that the arrests were made after plain clothes officers from Rugby Proactive CID spotted a suspected drug deal in Argyle Street in Rugby.

Officers seized suspected heroin and cash.

They have both been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
