Police stop uninsured van on A45 near Wolston and find it being driven in shockingly dangerous state of disrepair

Warwickshire traffic officers seized a van on Monday, October 26, after discovering that it was being driven in a shockingly dangerous condition and with no insurance.

Officers from OPU (Operational Patrol Unit) Warwickshire stopped the van on the A45 near Wolston.

The driver had no insurance and officers then discovered a litany of dangerous defects, including exposed cord on the rear tyre, a defective side repeater and excessive corrosion on the chassis.

Officers seized the van, issued a prohibition and reported the driver for the offences.
