Police have received reports of dogs falling ill after ingesting what is believed to be cannabis in parks and woodlands around Hatton Park.

Officers have today (Thursday) been on patrol in the area but they have not spotted any drug taking.

However, they are warning dog walkers to be cautious after they received a number of reports of dogs falling ill.

They believe the substance the dogs ingested was most likely cannabis.
