Police on scene after suspected stabbing on Frobisher Road in Rugby

Police were called to Frobisher Road in Rugby at around 10.30am this morning, September 16, following what is believed to be a stabbing.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and found a man who had sustained a suspected stab wound during an altercation.

The man has been taken to hospital by ambulance and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Warwickshire Police said the is not connected to the nearby primary school.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a stabbing in Frobisher Road, Rugby at 10.28am.

"An ambulance, paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.

"One man was found with serious injuries and received treatment on scene before being taken by land ambulance to hospital."
