A man has been taken to hospital after a suspected assault in Sydenham.

The area is still cordoned off.

A spokesperson from Warwickshire Police said: "Report of a man being assaulted in Sydenham Drive. A report was made at 11.09am.

"A man has be taken to hospital by ambulance with head and rib injuries, he was conscious.

"The area closed off at the moment while enquiries continue. It’s too early to confirm whether weapons were used.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident, has any other information or has dash cam/CCTV from the area can call 101 quoting incident 125 of May 27.

"Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

The West Midlands Ambulance Service have been contacted for a statement.
