Man stabbed in Rugby - four young boys arrested

Four young boys have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Rugby.
Another man suffered facial injuries during the attack in York Street this afternoon (Tuesday).

Hide AdA 13-year old boy, two 15-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of GBH. They are currently in police custody.
Both victims were taken to hospital by ambulance - their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A police spokesperson said: Officers were called at around 3.20pm to a report that two men had been assaulted by a group of males in York Street.
"A man in his early 20s sustained suspected stab wounds and an 18-year-old man sustained facial injuries."

Hide AdInvestigating officer, Det Sgt Charlotte Naughton of Nuneaton CID, said the attack happened at about 3.20pm, adding: “We’re appealing for any witnesses or information to this incident, or to any suspicious behaviour in town this afternoon.
“A scene guard is currently in place and officers will be in the area this evening as part of enquiries.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 284 of 8 June 2021.”
