An arrest was made in Warwick over the weekend after a police officer was allegedly assaulted.

The officer was allegedly assaulted after she responded to a report of a disturbance at a property in Peel Road on Saturday night.

A 41-year-old woman from Warwick was arrested on suspicion of assaulting the officer, assaulting another man at the property and possession of cannabis.

She has been bailed until next month while enquiries continue.

Warwickshire Police said the officer was uninjured.
