CCTV released after pensioner's handbag stolen from supermarket in Leamington

A woman in her seventies had her handbag stolen from her trolley in a supermarket in Leamington.

Warwickshire Police is appealing to members of the community for information following the theft.

The incident occurred at 1.15pm on Tuesday, January 12 in a supermarket in Old Warwick Road.

A woman in her seventies had a small black handbag containing an amount of money, bank cards and a mobile phone taken from her shopping trolley.

CCTV images of a man and a woman that police would like to speak to have been released.

The woman is described as white with long dark brown hair. She was wearing a cream woollen hat, long dark-brown coat with cream fur collar, light coloured jeans and Ugg-style boots and is described as speaking with a European accent.

The man is described as white, tall, with dark-brown, short spiky hair. He was wearing a long trench-style dark green coat, and a tartan scarf worn loosely around his neck.
