Car key burglary in Whitnash

The incident happened in Greville Smith Avenue overnight on December 19-20.

The thieves stole the house and car keys, which had been left near the front door, and stole a blue Skoda Roomster which was parked on the drive.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in Greville Smith Avenue last Thursday night or Friday morning, or saw the vehicle being driven away.

House-to-house enquiries have been carried out in the area and local residents have been given crime prevention advice.

Householders are reminded to be vigilant about locking doors and to make sure valuables are left out of sight and reach.
