Camping in Calais to help refugees
Volunteers will head to Calais after kick-starting fundraising for refugees on Leamington’s Parade.
Friends, Sophie Taylor and Yolanda Gomez (pictured) will support a community kitchen initiative in January as part of ongoing efforts to help families fleeing war in Syria.
Joining others from Leamington they hope to help cook, clean, hand out food and build shelters in a camp of around 6,000 refugees thanks to hundreds raised in the town.
The team has raised £400 of a £2,000 target, but appealing for help as they continue to fundraiser.
