Boys think outside the box to help homeless charity

The Year 7 pupils also got a taste of what it is like to be homeless when they took part in the fundraiser.

They were challenged with building their own cardboard shelter, along with the use of some plastic bags and tape to make them as waterproof as possible.

Staff at the school said luckily the weather stayed dry during the night out.

A variety of physically and mentally challenging activities took place including competitive drawing, a ‘sound scavenge’, a quiz and inside and outside sports such as dodge ball, football and cricket.

A late night chapel service was held reflecting on the work of The Way Ahead Project in Leamington Spa, which Warwick School is supporting this year.

Soup was served by the Headmaster Gus Lock before the boys settled into their boxes to face the challenge of a night sleeping out.

He praised the boys’ efforts which have helped raise more than £2,000 to help people without homes.
