Ambulance team do their bit for Heroes

STAFF from the ambulance service that covers Warwickshire are donating an hour’s worth of wages to charity as part of a national campaign.

West Midlands Ambulance Service, along with other ambulance teams across the country, police forces, politicians and celebrities, are taking part in Help For Heroes’ ‘give an hour, help a hero’ appeal.

The appeal will run for three months and staff are encouraged to donate an hour’s pay or to fundraise for one hour.

Eleanor Huddleston, workforce information officer with the West Midlands service said: “Donating 60 minutes of my salary took less than 60 seconds. In less than 60 seconds a soldier’s life could be changed forever. ‘Help For Heroes’ enables injured soldiers to receive help and support for their ongoing rehabilitation for their new lives.”
