Hide AdWelcoming the update, Cllr Matt Western (Lab, Brunswick) who campaigned for the change, said: “It’s great news that the route has been modified at last. I have been pressing Stagecoach’s management over many months to get the changes that people have been asking for. I’m delighted that they listened and have acted.
“There are also a great many people who use these service on weekends to go shopping and to attend churches and the Sikh and Hindu temples and this will make their journey that much simpler and safer.”
From now on, more residents will be able to more easily use the service which stops along Gainsborough Drive.
The new route will also mean improved transport links for those living in sheltered accommodation in Campion View and along upper Sydenham Drive.
