A ‘neighbourhood watch’ scheme for Warwickshire canals
Warwickshire Police, Mid-Warwickshire Neighbourhood Watch, the Canal & River Trust and Warwickshire County Council Community Safety Team have launched Canal Watch.
The scheme works like a neighbourhood watch scheme for canals and towpaths in the county.
Members will be vigilant to thefts from canal barges, burglaries at houses backing on to canals and other issues.
