Award-winning Rugby restaurant brings Valentine’s dinner to you

The celebrated eatery is offering romantic residents the chance to enjoy a three-course meal without slaving over the cooker on Sunday, February 14.

The expert chefs at CVC Kitchen are whipping up a gourmet three-course Valentine’s dinner which can be delivered directly to your door (if you live within five miles of Rugby town centre) for only £5, or collected from the restaurant at 25 High Street.

The tasty menu begins with confit garlic and rosemary-baked Camembert with red wine onion jam and homemade epi baguette.

Juicy beef Wellington with creamy mash, seasonal roasted vegetables and thyme jus is followed by chocolate fondant with vanilla custard and berry compote. There’s the option to round it off with a selection of homemade petit fours – then the rest is up to you!

There's a yummy vegan alternative too, which kicks off with truffle and mushroom pate, red wine onion jam and homemade epi baguette followed by beetroot and spinach Wellington, with mashed potato, roasted seasonal vegetables and salsa verde. Dessert comes in the form of a mouth-watering coconut chocolate pot with shortbread and strawberries.

They come presented in beautiful wicker hampers and are available to collect from our restaurant, Café Vin Cinq, on 13 and 14 February."

The CVC Kitchen team, from Café Vin Cinq – voted best independent restaurant in Warwickshire last year – has already tasted success with its Christmas hamper range, which saw hundreds of tasty parcels flying out of the door over the festive period.

And they’re taking every step to make your collection or delivery Covid-safe, with contact-free delivery, carefully timed collection slots and social distancing throughout.

A fabulous three-course dinner starts at just £35 per person, or if you would like to finish with a selection of homemade petit fours it is an extra £10 per person.

The Sweet-Lover’s Valentine Hamper costs just £30 with homemade hot chocolate mix with marshmallows, decadent salted caramel truffles, rose and vanilla homemade macaroons, homemade shortbread and homemade almond nougat.

Or if it's something savoury you fancy, there's a Valentine hamper to suit: for £30, you can get your choice of cheese (choose from Cropwell Bishop blue stilton, Somerset Camembert or Snowdonia red Leicester) and meat (choose from saucisson sec or Spanish tapas), along with homemade red onion jam, roasted rosemary nuts and fresh homemade CVC sourdough

Or why not combine the two for a bumper feast for £60?
