Dance meets blockbuster movies

Celebrated for their athletic performances rooted in dance, theatre, circus, acrobatics and film, the award-winning Motionhouse bring their new production to Warwick Arts Centre on February 4 and 5. In the show, called Broken, the performers hang in suspense, scramble to safety and negotiate the cracks and craters of an ever-changing world of illusions where nothing is quite as it seems. Kevin Finnan, Motionhouse's artistic director, and choreographer and movement director for the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, said: 'Our aim at Motionhouse is to produce exciting, accessible and enjoyable shows - we want our audiences to be stimulated and moved by our work. We explore ways to create a 4D spectacle using choreography, digital imagery, sound and lighting. Broken is a dance theatre work and a blockbuster movie rolled into one great night out.'
