Speaker set tone for innovation event at school

Returning to the school, Mr McCann inspired an audience with his story of personal tragedy when as a five year old boy his mother became the first victim of the Yorkshire Ripper.

He shared how he triumphed against adversity and was successful in putting his life back on track, taking away any excuses as to why people cannot reach their true potential.

The school also welcomed visitors from the business community, Warwickshire Police and 20 business executives from Halfords.

The day brought to fruition a collaboration between North Leamington’s sixth form business studies students, Halfords and Warwick University.

Creativity and innovation were the themes and students worked alongside Halfords participants to create ideas and solutions to business initiatives currently under consideration by the company.
