Legal firm commits to paying Living Wage

The Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at the Leamington legal firm, regardless of whether they are permanent employees or third-party contractors and suppliers, receive a minimum hourly wage of £7.65 - significantly higher than the national minimum wage of £6.31.

Cathy Wahlberg, operations and finance member at Alsters Kelley LLP said: “Paying the Living Wage is not only morally right but makes good business sense too.

“We want to employ and train good people and the Living Wage is an excellent way of attracting and keeping valued employees.”

Employers choose to pay the Living Wage on a voluntary basis. The Living Wage enjoys cross party support, with public backing from the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition.

Chris White, MP for Warwick and Leamington said: “In Parliament recently, I highlighted the fact that paying the Living Wage is good for employees, good for business and good for society. I would like to congratulate Alsters Kelley LLP on their accreditation as a Living Wage employer.They are setting a fantastic example for others to follow.”
