Warwick writers group’s ‘novel in a nutshell’ challenge

THE latest challenge set by Warwick Words Writers’ Group is asking creative talents to re-write their favourite novel in a much smaller form.

Entrants must produce a ‘haiku’ - a three-line verse in 17 syllables, of which the first line has five syllables, the second seven and the third five.

Group facilitator Carey Moon said: “It’s quite a challenge to summarise a novel in a nutshell but it can be done.”
