Thought-provoking youth theatre at Leamington’s Spa Centre

In a retelling of Carlo Collodi’s classic story Pinocchio at the Spa Centre in Leamington, a boy goes on a journey over land sea, is swallowed by a shark and turned into a donkey.

Teatro Youth’s The Runaway Boy - written by Midlands playwright Vanessa Oakes - will be performed at the centre’s main stage on Wednesday by 30 young people, many of whom are from disadvantaged backgrounds, in which the boy, Pin, hopes to find the meaning of love.

Teatro Youth, the Spa Centre’s official youth theatre company, specialises in challenging and thought-provoking drama that is relevant to young people.
