The show goes on for Kineton drama group
Despite their sadness at the news of the recent death of Kineton Amateur Dramatics Society founder and president Penny Rivers-Fletcher, the group is soldiering on with their spring production, Snakes and Ladders.
The comedy by Eric Chappell sees two couples face an usual problem while on holiday at a Spanish villa. Shortly after their arrival, things go from bad to worse.
Performances take place at Kineton village hall tonight (Friday) and tomorrow at 8pm. A licensed bar will be available. Tickets cost £6 (£5 concessions). They are on sale at Flower Thyme in Banbury Road, Kineton, on the door or by calling 641313,
Penny, 94, set up the group as an off-shoot of a dramatics group in Wellesbourne in 1981 when Kineton Village Hall Association took over the running of the village’s Women’s Institute building.
