Castle Galleries in Regent Street will be welcoming the contemporary painter between 1pm and 4pm, when she will present her hotly anticipated Autumn collection, alongside a range of signed limited editions and rare pieces from previous collections.

A spokesman said: “As one of the leading contemporary artists in the UK, Caroline Shotton’s bovine art has not only redefined the parameters of modern day portraiture, but has shed a new light on our appreciation of art and the role it plays in our day-to-day lives.”

Shotton, who remains of Castle Galleries’ top selling artists a decade after embarking on her career as a professional artist, said: “I’ve always created work that stems from personal experience, yet allows others to add their own narrative. My children are probably my biggest source of inspiration – I wanted to paint something happy for my child’s bedroom wall and a character that would make him smile and keep him company. This led to a colourful composition featuring a quirky cow and the rest is history!”

Simon Daw, gallery manager for Castle Galleries in Leamington, said: “Caroline’s work has proven to be extremely popular with our customers because of its warmth and humour, and we are delighted to be able to exhibit her new summer collection.”
