Leamington bassist and composer Adrian Litvinoff set up the band - made up of five professional musicians from around the Midlands - five years ago and, since releasing their first album, Introducing Interplay, in 2010, have broadened their sound.

Adrian says the new album - appropriately named Global - takes influences from north Africa, south Asia and Latin America. He said: “It’s taken us two years to get the album out, but I’m thrilled with it.

“Since our first album, we’ve done a lot more playing and developed what we do.”

Adrian, who wrote most of the tunes on the album, is keen for jazz novices and confirmed fans alike to go along to the launch, which takes place on Sunday from 8pm - one day ahead of Global’s release.

He said: “The LAMP has a really good feeling and you get a good vibe there between the performers and audience. It’s really easy to connect with the audience there.”

The LAMP is off Adelaide Road in Leamington. Admission on the night is free. To find out more about Interplay, visit interplayjazz.co.uk
