Events group Warwick Rocks, with support from Warwick town council and 14 Records, is bringing a new Midsummer Night festival to Market Square on Saturday June 21 to mark the town’s 1,100th anniversary and midsummer night’s eve.

Browsers at the regular market can enjoy acoustic performances and Irish and street dancers from noon, to be followed by an open mic stage at the Rose and Crown pub from 4pm to 6.30pm.

Street food stalls will arrive at the square at 5pm - then the main stage opens at 6.30pm, with live music by local bands Rosetta Fire and The Rushmore, BBC The Voice’s Battle Round finalist Tom Barnwell, Basingstoke band Ill Gotten Gains - and the winner of a battle-of-the-bands contest which has yet to be announced.

Warwick Rocks founder Jack Linstead said: “There is some amazing talent locally. The aim of this event is to have a great time and showcase what we have right here in the Warwick area.”
