Book now for summer drama at Warwick youth theatre

YOUNG people will be able to take part in acrobatics, digital media projects, musical theatre and a range of shows at the Dream Factory in Warwick next summer.

And people who book places in the next few days can make use of a special offer which will allow them to pay half of their deposit now and the rest in May.

The Playbox Theatre Company, which operates from the site in Shelley Avenue, is running The Greatest Show on Earth - a circus week including aerial skills, acrobatics and tightrope-walking - from July 22 to 26 and a theatre week entitled The Cat In The Hat and other Dr Seuss tales from July 29 to August 2.

Galaxy Adventures, a theatre and digital media week, takes place from July 29 to August 2, then Digital 12 - Back to the Games, a theatre, film and make-up week, is on from August 5 to 9.

Another theatre week, To Infinity and Beyond, which will take inspiration from the Toy Story trilogy, also takes place from August 5 to 9, while a musical theatre week on Annie is on from August 12 to 16.

Added to this will be a drama school crash course led by industry specialists to help young people prepare for a career in the performing arts from August 12 to 16, as well as The Wonderful World of Disney, a series of one-off theatre adventures inspired by Disney classics for three to six-year-olds, on July 23, 24 and 25 and August 13, 14 and 15.

Five-day courses cost £140 for Playbox members and £150 for non-members, while the Disney events cost £12.50 for mambers and £15 for non-members. All fees include lunch.

Those who book places by December 31 will be eligible to pay a non-refundable 50 per cent deposit, with the balance payable on May 1. Bookings made after January 1 will need to be made in full at the time of booking.
