Artwork for lost soldiers on display in Warwick

AN ARTIST’s tribute to soldiers who have died during service in Afghanistan is back on display in Warwick due to popular demand.

Mike Yorke’s exhibition, Empty Chairs, features a miniature wooden chair - in the style of Vincent Van Gogh’s chair - for every British member of the armed services who have lost their lives during the conflict up to the present day.

Mr Yorke has sadly had to add several chairs to the display since it was last on show at the Mitchell Gallery earlier this year. People now have another chance to see the collection at the Beauchamp Chapel at St Mary’s church in Church Street, Warwick, until tomorrow (Thursday).

It is free to attend but any donations will go to the Royal British Legion.
