Winners of Horticultural Society Summer Show announced
The show was very well-attended, and every visitor was able to vote for the winners of the first four classes, which were roses, carnations and pinks, sweet-peas and any other flowers respectively.
The fifth class, a six by six inch flower arrangement, was judged by society member Pam Beedham.
The winners were as follows:

Hide AdClass 1 - three stems of roses: 1st Jennifer Matthews, 2nd Jennifer Matthews, 3rd Helen Rossiter.
Class 2 - ten stems of sweet-peas: 1st Liz Larson, 2nd Liz Larson.
Class 3 - four stems of pinks or carnations: 1st Chris Draper, 2nd Myra Wilkinson, 3rd Pam Beedham.
Class 4 - five stems of any other flowers: 1st Pam Beedham, 2nd Caroline Rowe, 3rd Helen Rossiter.

Hide AdClass 5 - a small flower arrangement no more than six inches in any dimension: 1st Margaret Smith, 2nd Jennifer Matthews, 3rd Liz Watson.
The Best in Show Cup was awarded to Margaret Smith for her flower arrangement which included an incredible number of flowers and foliage carefully arranged.
