Tributes to well-loved teenager Lauren

SKY lanterns have been released into the night in tribute to a young mother who died unexpectedly on New Year’s Eve.

The cause of her death is not yet known.

A large crowd, which included members of Lauren’s family, gathered inside the grounds of the school in Sydenham on Wednesday evening where they launched the lanterns and laid flowers.

Lauren’s father Michael said: “What has happened is tragic but she will always be forever young and beautiful to me.

“She was only 18 when she lost her fight for her life and nobody deserves that.

“She will always be missed and I lover her with all of my heart.”

The moving tribute was organised by two of Lauren’s close friends Vally Moraga and Lauren Robbins.

Campion caretaker Keith Chanter unlocked the school gates specially for the event.

Michael added: “This proves how much she was loved. It’s a touching a special moment to see everyone here celebrating the life of a beautiful young lady.”

Mother to one-year-old Ryley, Lauren also attended Myton and Aylesford Schools and Warwickshire College.

She turned 18 last month.

An RIP Lauren Taylor group has been set up on Facebook where hundreds of people have paid tribute to the teenager.

Lauren’s mother, Lisa, said: “She was my beautiful daughter and I can’t believe this has happened.

“Everyone has been amazing with their words and messages but she shouldn’t have gone.”
