Around 1,000 people went along to the annual event, which raised an estimated £2,000 for village causes and featured inventive floats parading through Harbury and a variety of stalls, games and entertainment.

Carnival committee chairman John Broomfield said: “It was another great day with wonderful weather. We had five floats, including a Captain Hook Pirate float, which was very, very well done - a lot of work had gone into it.

“The dog shows are always everybody’s favourite and this year’s were just as impressive as usual.”
