Heroic effort as festival looks set to break record
Organisers said the annual festival, held last weekend to raise money for charities and organisations which support servicemen and servicewomen and their families who have been affected by war and conflict, was the busiest to date.
Thousands of people attended the event, which combined competitive and friendly rugby games and tournaments and music festival, and with overflow car parks needed to be used on both Saturday and Sunday, takings on the gate were up on previous years and food vendors reported brisk business.
