I was disappointed but not surprised to read that Jeremy Wright MP had voted against allowing the genetic changes that would prevent children from inheriting mitochondrial disease.
Mr Wright is of course entitled to his opinions. However he has also not supported either assisted dying or equal marriage. I wonder if his voting preferences are supported by either evidence or personal experience.
Does Kenilworth really want an MP who cannot agree to assisted dying, to equal marriage or to carefully researched genetic modifications?
