X Factor star makes surprise trip to Kenilworth jewellers

Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho, who reached the X Factor live shows in 2010, visited First Class Watches based in James Moore Jewellers in Warwick Road on Wednesday May 11, much to the shock of customer service advisor Rowland Jones.

Wagner had previously spoken to Rowland, a fan of the show, about buying a watch, and Rowland had no idea who he was speaking to was until he asked him how to spell his name.

He said: “I asked him for his name and he said it was Wagner. I then said: ‘As in Wagner from the X Factor?’ and he replied: ‘I am Wagner from the X Factor.’

“He then said he’d come in store - I didn’t think he would but he did.

“He was really friendly and down-to-earth, and he couldn’t thank us enough.”

Once Wagner had made his purchase of a black Citizen watch, Rowland showed him round the store, which had recently been refurbished.

Rowland also said he hoped Wagner might visit again.
