Waverley Scouts jumble to pull in crowds

Scouts have been busy collecting second-hand goods ahead of one of the busiest Saturdays of their year.

The popular Waverley Scout Group jumble sale has been running twice a year for the past three decades.

Organised by the parents and pack leaders of all the division’s Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, there are hopes the sale on April 18 could be one of the most successful yet.

Collections have been made from over 2,000 houses in Kenilworth and a huge selection of jumble, clothes, books, DVDs, electricals,
furniture and toys is now ready to be priced up for sale.

Funds from this year’s event - to be held at Kenilworth School between 1pm and 2.45pm - will send Scouts to a county camp in May.

The sale is open to all. Entry is 50p and parking is free on site for the afternoon.
